SPC Bernard Hill Jr., from Homestead, Florida was a unit supply clerk with Headquarters Company, 15th Engineer Battalion when he was killed on April 24, 2012 in a convoy accident on a German autobahn when their convoy was hit from behind by a cargo truck. He was a quiet, dedicated soldier that was always willing to take on any task asked of him and handled duties normally assigned to an NCO.
He is survived by his wife, Karen and a son. Karen joined us at Holbrook Farms in 2018 for a Survivors of Heroes Retreat.
