SFC Clayton Ward was a combat medic that survived two tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and retired in 2011 after 20 years in the Army. He was a Soldier that would go out of his way to help anyone. Clayton lost his life in 2013 to PTSD. We were honored to meet his widow, Sabine, in 2017 at our Survivors of Heroes Retreat. She has since returned multiple times as a Facilitator and volunteer to pour into other Survivors. She is an ardent advocate to bring awareness to veterans’ suicide and we are honored to know her.
