Petty Officer 1st Class Brandon Slatton was born May 10, 1985 in Pocatello, ID but grew up in Missouri where he graduated from high school. He joined the Navy in 2004 and became a Damage Controlman where he managed fire systems aboard ships.  He served his country proudly for 12 years. Brandon loved to laugh, work on his motorcycle, and being with his family.  

Brandon passed away on June 10, 2017 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, two children, parents and siblings.   Jennifer attended a Survivors of Heroes Retreat in 2021.
